Muniza S. Malik

Attorney

Muniza has dedicated her career to helping families navigate complex legal challenges with compassion and skill. Her experience encompasses all aspects of family law, including divorce, child custody, adoptions, and enforcement matters.

Muniza was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, where she developed a deep appreciation for Texas values and community. She attended Trinity University in San Antonio, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2018. She then pursued her legal education at St. Mary’s University School of Law, also in San Antonio, where she graduated with her law degree in 2022. During law school, Muniza distinguished herself both academically and through leadership roles. She served as a Staff Writer and then Executive Editor of The Scholar: St. Mary’s Law Review on Race and Social Justice and was recognized with the Dean’s Scholarship and the Women in Law Leadership Award.

Before joining Deyerle Silva Smith, PLLC, Muniza worked as an Attorney at a family law firm in San Antonio, where she handled complex divorce cases, custody matters, and adoption proceedings. Her courtroom experience includes representing clients in hearings and trials before family court judges, where she has successfully presented evidence, examined witnesses, and made persuasive legal arguments to achieve favorable outcomes. Muniza also has extensive experience in mediation and settlement negotiations, understanding that many clients prefer to resolve their matters outside of court when possible.

Muniza’s approach to family law is both strategic and personal. From the initial consultation, she listens carefully to understand each client’s unique circumstances and works collaboratively to develop individualized case plans that align with their goals. Whether representing clients in court hearings or negotiating settlements, Muniza brings thorough preparation and genuine advocacy to every case.

Fluent in Urdu and raised by immigrant parents, Muniza is uniquely positioned to serve clients from diverse backgrounds, bringing cultural sensitivity to her practice. In her spare time, Muniza enjoys spending time with her friends and family, attending pilates classes and baking sweet treats from scratch.
